Polish President Karol Nawrocki is set to engage in high-level talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in the United States. The discussions, to occur on the sidelines of the assembly, are expected to focus significantly on security issues.
Throughout his visit, President Nawrocki is scheduled to meet with leaders from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, with regional security anticipated to be a central theme of these conversations as well. This aligns with the broader agenda of his participation in the General Debate of the UN General Assembly.
In addition to these meetings, Nawrocki is slated to confer with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and UN General Assembly President Chalilur Rahman. He will also meet with the chairperson of the African Union, further expanding the diplomatic scope of his trip.
Highlighting the solemn aspect of his U.S. visit, President Nawrocki, accompanied by First Lady Marta Nawrocka, paid respects to the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, underscoring the enduring impact of global security concerns.
