Türkiye’s defense industry continues to make significant strides on the global stage, as evidenced by the inclusion of five Turkish companies in the 2026 global Top 100 defense companies ranking. This achievement underscores the nation’s expanding prowess in defense manufacturing and exports. Leading the Turkish contingent, ASELSAN has climbed to the 40th position from 43rd in the previous year. Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) follows closely at 48th, and ARCA Defense makes its debut on the list at 53rd.
Roketsan has shown notable progress, moving from 71st place to 64th, while MKE secures the 81st spot. Collectively, these companies amassed approximately $14.9 billion in defense revenue during 2025, reflecting the sector’s robust growth. ASELSAN led with $4.46 billion in revenue, with TAI and ARCA Defense contributing $3.65 billion and $3 billion, respectively. Roketsan and MKE added $2.37 billion and $1.42 billion to the total revenue.
This upward trajectory in the rankings is largely fueled by increasing international demand for Turkish defense products. Türkiye has successfully expanded its defense industry, covering a broad spectrum that includes military electronics, aerospace, missile systems, ammunition, and other advanced technologies. Such developments highlight the country’s commitment to enhancing its capabilities in defense manufacturing.
The recent rankings not only emphasize Türkiye’s growing influence in the global defense market but also showcase its ability to develop and export a diverse array of defense systems. This burgeoning industry is poised to play a crucial role in the international defense arena, reinforcing Türkiye’s position as a key player.
