Belgium secured a decisive 3-0 victory over Türkiye in the UEFA Nations League match on Friday in Liege, marking Türkiye’s third consecutive defeat in the tournament. The win places Belgium in a stronger position in Group A1, trailing leaders France by just one point.
Kevin De Bruyne was instrumental in Belgium’s triumph, opening the scoring after a well-executed exchange with Dodi Lukebakio, allowing him to fire from the edge of the penalty area into the net. Despite Türkiye’s efforts to find an equalizer, their inability to capitalize on chances left them vulnerable. De Bruyne further extended Belgium’s lead with a sensational curling shot into the top corner.
Romelu Lukaku, who entered the match as a substitute in the 61st minute, sealed the victory for Belgium by scoring the third goal. Charles De Ketelaere set up Lukaku with a precise low cross, which was converted from close range.
The result leaves Türkiye at the bottom of Group A1 without any points after three matches. As they prepare to face Italy on October 5, Türkiye will be without Arda Güler and Barış Alper Yılmaz, who are suspended after accumulating yellow cards.
