Denmark secured a 2-0 victory over Wales in Copenhagen, placing Wales at the bottom of their Nations League Group A4 after failing to earn a point or score a goal in their first two matches. The defeat followed a previous 1-0 loss to Portugal.

Wales struggled defensively in the first half as Denmark created several chances and hit the post. Although Wales showed improvement towards the end of the half, they were unable to find the net. Denmark took the lead in the 53rd minute when a free-kick by Mikkel Damsgaard was inadvertently turned into the Welsh goal by defender Ben Davies. Gustav Isaksen extended Denmark’s lead in the 66th minute with a deflected shot following a failed clearance by Wales.

The match saw Denmark continue to apply pressure, creating further opportunities to increase their lead. Wales, on the other hand, had a late goal disallowed after Ethan Ampadu was penalized for a foul.

Wales manager Craig Bellamy acknowledged Denmark’s superiority in the match and recognized the challenge posed by the defeat. He expressed determination for the team to improve as they prepare to face Norway next, followed by a rematch against Denmark in Cardiff.
